The room was nice and even had a hot shower — nothing too special, but definitely good value for the price. The two younger guys at reception were super friendly and helped us a lot with planning our trip and giving great recommendations. We were also able to leave our bags there and were allowed to take a shower after checking out, which was very convenient. Breakfast was good and the staff overall were very welcoming

Very organized hostal. Seemed very clean, though I was the only one in the shared dorm. Breakfast included, which was very decent. Best gallo pinto I had in all of Costa Rica. Kitchen available after breakfast and until 9pm or something. Fridge to store food. Water from filter to fill up your bottle. Wifi was good.

Great value. You can get a comfortable private room with a fridge, safe box, air conditioning and a balcony for much better price than in other places. The free shuttle to the hot river was a great bonus. You can also walk to El Salto spot - a cool river, any time yourself, which takes about half an hour, and feels even better in the hot weather.

Excellent facilities. We stayed in a private room which was clean and well set up. The communal kitchen was great. Breakfast was also really good. The cleaning staff and kitchen staff were brilliant. Really nice atmosphere with mainly young people. Drinks wrapped up at 10pm and there was no issues with noise after this. The unlimited shuttle was really handy also, would recommend getting this. I would give 10/10 - minus 2 for front reception staff.

Very good! The guy at the front desk (so sorry I can't remember his name!) was very helpful with booking tours/activities for us! Definitely book through La Choza as they can offer a better price than booking on your own. We did the Northfields Coffee, Chocolate and Sugar Cane tour which was amazing! La Choza called them and set up pickup from the hotel with no issue at all. We also did the whitewater rafting and visited Baldi hotsprings - all SUPER easy to book and well worth it. Room was nice, aircon was super strong, wifi good, tasty breakfast. Very short walk to the main park/square and lots of restaurants. All around good place to stay,

Very cozy and nice place. Great location in the center of La Fortuna. The breakfast is local style and delicious (set plate). Helpful personnel and good wifi. Nice little inner court and water refill spot in there.

Great to have a breakfast served. The noise went till 2am but it was from a bar a few blocks away so any accommodation would have the same. It is a party town and vibrant for that reason! Got used to the music at night. Our place was chill and they had rules in place for noise. All was wonderful!

Great location down quiet street but super close to town which was excellent for us to enjoy memorable New Years Eve celebrations in the parque. Great having access to use the kitchen & make delicious fruit smoothies.

Nice communal areas to chill or socialise with plenty of charge points, and the staff were helpful. A shuttle to certain sights was a plus and they could arrange other activities easily. Air con available in the rooms. Kitchen space to cook in. Decent breakfast offered and free coffee was always appreciated.
